Saturday September 14, 2019-Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), George Kinoti has described the murder of Dutch tycoon, Tob Cohen, as heartless saying the assassins took time before executing the heinous act.
In an interview with journalists on Friday evening, Kinoti said Tob Cohen’s wife, Sarah Wairimu is the prime suspect and she is the one who hired assassins to kill her husband.
Kinoti said Cohen was hit by a blunt object, then his hands tied and then tortured for hours before he was killed.
“He was bound, hands, legs and the neck, before he was murdered and then they hid him in an underground water tank," Kinoti stated.
The top detective added that CCTV cameras were mounted in the house after the act was executed.
He assured members of the public that suspects involved in the atrocious crime would be arrested.
"It is almost two months since we declared this place a scene of crime. From that time, there are things that we have been doing. We widened our net as much as we could to make sure that this crime is not covered up.
"We have two suspects so far and we are going to arrest more. Anyone who is involved in the gruesome murder, we shall not leave a single one," Kinoti said.
