Monday September 9, 2019 - Kiharu MP, Ndindi Nyoro, has blamed National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, for the woes facing him.
On Sunday evening, Flying Squad officers were waiting to arrest the MP after he was involved in an altercation with former Starehe MP, Maina Kamaanda, in Gitui, Murang’a County.
Nyoro spent Sunday night at Royal Media Services’ VIP section to evade arrest as Flying Squad officers waited outside to pounce on him once he is out.
Addressing the media, Nyoro blamed Raila Odinga saying that he is being harassed by the “State machinery” for refusing to endorse his candidature ahead of 2022.
He claimed that the “State machinery” led by Interior PS, Karanja Kibicho, is forcing Central Kenya leaders to support Raila Odinga’s candidacy in 2022 polls.
"I cannot commit political suicide as the Member of Parliament for Kiharu.”
“There's no way you will call me and order me to sell Raila in Murang'a by force yet we all know that it can never happen," Nyoro said.
The first time MP further claimed to have been threatened by unknown individuals, who were pushing for him to market the ODM leader in his constituency.
“I cannot be forced to support Raila nor will I push any of his agendas in my constituency via the use of hired guns," Nyoro said.
