Wednesday September 18, 2019-The widow of slain Dutch tycoon, Tob Cohen, Sarah Wairimu Cohen, has managed to stop the burial of her husband.
Wairimu, who is the chief suspect in the murder wrote a letter to Chiromo Mortuary opposing the release of Cohen‘s body to his sister Gabrielle.
In her argument, through her lawyer, Philip Murgor, Wairimu ,who is still incarcerated in Langata Women’s Prison said she was legally married to Tob Cohen and she has a constitutional right to bury him.
She said Gabrielle has no legal right to bury Tob Cohen and demanded the mortuary not to release the remains of Cohen to anyone else expect her.
Tob Cohen disappeared on July 19th and his wife Sarah claimed he went on a golfing trip in Thailand.
However, 42 days later, DCI detectives found Cohen’s remains in a septic tank inside his Kitisuru home.
Sarah and his clandestine lover, Peter Karanja are the main suspects in the mysterious murder that shocked the entire nation.
