Monday September 30, 2019-Deputy President (DP) William Ruto on Sunday unveiled his master plan in winning the Kibra by-election.
Speaking at Kapseret Constituency in Uasin Gishu County, Ruto said he would be on the frontline in Kibra campaigns to ensure that McDonald Mariga wins the Parliamentary seat.
He went ahead to assure Kenyans that the Jubilee party will, by all means, clinch the Kibra seat in the November mini-poll.
He further took a swipe at ODM leader Raila Odinga stating that the sorry state of Kibra constituency was due to negligence.
“I was shocked when an individual lay claim that Kibra is their political bedroom and the region did not even have toilets and locals are grappling with dire sanitation challenges. It is the Jubilee government that built roads and public toilets in Kibra,” he mocked.
At the same time, Ruto spelled doom on constitutional referendum, stating that those seeking to change the Constitution through the back door, saying they were bound to fail.
He explained that matters relating to Constitution change required the input of all Kenyans and not few 'special' politicians.
“Politicians have perfected the art of sitting in high-end hotels and offices to make legislation for the people. But people have become cleverer now. It is not possible to use a short cut to change the Constitution,” he retorted.
