Wednesday September 25, 2019-Kitui Governor, Charity Ngilu, is currently on the spot after she was caught on camera inciting members of Kamba community against members of the Somali community.
In an audio clip that has since gone viral on social media sites, Ngilu was heard saying that the Somalis are endangering lives of Kamba people living near Kitui/Garissa border.
Ngilu in the recording vowed to train and arm a section of Kamba youths to go and deal with Somalis and protect themselves from impending threats.
“Don't think those guns are so powerful, I will give you money to get some and train our men on how to use a gun, bows and arrows so that we deal with them, there is no other option," Ngilu said in Kamba dialect.
Ngilu asked the security officers to leave the issue to her and Kamba people whom she urged to prepare for a revenge mission.
"I want to tell these security officers, we are tired of talking and it's time to act. You have the guns and if you cannot help us deal with these people, allow us to go there and handle them," Ngilu stated.
