Monday September 2, 2019-Makueni Governor, Prof Kivutha Kibwana, has finally cleared the air on whether he is supporting Deputy President William Ruto‘s presidential bid in 2022 and Tanga Tanga activities.

Over the weekend, speculations was rife that the hard working governor is working with Ruto after he accompanied him to Turkana for a public function.

During the trip, the governor surprised other politicians when he said that the DP' bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta should not be ignored and urged him to reduce animosity between him and ODM leader Raila Odinga.

However according to Kibwana, claims that he has joined Ruto's team were spread by Wiper Party which is seeking to popularise its ideas using propaganda.

He said it is foolish for somebody to lie to Kenyans that he had endorsed Ruto’s presidency yet he is also competing for the presidency in 2022.

“I am vying for the presidency in 2022 and all stories you here from Ukambani are total lies,” Kibwana told journalists on Monday.
