Tuesday September 10, 2019 - Wiper Democratic Movement has announced that Kenyan musician, Jackson Makini popularly known as Prezzo, will be the party’s candidate in the Kibra election in 2022 and not the forthcoming mini-poll in November as had earlier been thought.
Making the announcement on social media on Tuesday evening, Wiper Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, said the party will proudly present Prezzo in 2022 because he has the best interests of Kibra people at heart.
The Kibra seat is up for grabs after it fell vacant following the death of Ken Okoth in July.
Okoth died at The Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with colorectal cancer, just two weeks after he returned home from Paris, France, where he was receiving treatment.
The Kibra by election is slated for November 7th and it is now turning out to be a two horse race between Imran and Mariga.
Here is what Kalonzo tweeted.
