Wednesday September 11, 2019-Interior Principal Secretary, Karanja Kibicho, has dismissed allegations by Kiharu MP, Ndindi Nyoro, that he was behind his arrest on Monday.
Nyoro was arrested on Monday and was arraigned in court on Tuesday where no charges were preferred against him.
Speaking outside Muranga Law Courts after his release, Nyoro said Karanja Kibicho is the man behind his arrest.
However addressing the media on Tuesday, Kibicho termed Nyoro’s allegations as silly and said he was not in any way involved in the first term lawmaker.
He said that the MPs are failing to distinguish criminal activities and political events, thus the dragging of his name to their woes.
“When people are in trouble, let them handle their problems and leave Kibicho alone. They blame me because they want to convert criminal events into a political problem,” Kibicho said.
Kibicho is one of the powerful state officials in Uhuru’s regime.
He is also a leader of Central Kenya leaders who are opposed to Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential bid in 2022.
