Monday September 9, 2019 - Embattled Kiharu MP, Ndindi Nyoro, has claimed that he is being fought by the State for rejecting the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) commonly known as BBI.

BBI is spearheaded by President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance leader, Raila Odinga.

Addressing the media at Royal Media Services (RMS) on Sunday, Nyoro who was hiding from police officers, who were waiting to arrest him for causing fracas in a Muranga church and assaulting a police officer, said Interior PS, Karanja Kibicho is misusing his powers by ordering police to arrest him.

He also claimed that he is being persecuted for supporting Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential bid which the “State Machinery” is opposed to.

“In their desperate machinations to silence all perceived DP William Ruto’s supporters, they are arranging to “deal” with some of us using all manner of issues,” he told Citizen TV senior political reporter, Francis Gachuri.

Nyoro said that the other reason why he is targeted, besides his support for the DP, is the way he questioned Karanja Kibicho over issues that were raised by the Auditor General in his normal jurisdiction as a member of the Parliamentary Accounts Committee (PAC).
