Monday, September 16, 2019 - The daughter of the late powerful Cabinet Minister JJ Kamotho is being sought by detectives over the murder of Dutch tycoon, Tob Cohen.
According to detectives, the day Cohen’s murder was planned, Nyokabi met Peter Karanja, the ex-husband to Gilgil MP, Martha Wangari, who is the prime suspect in the murder.
When Nyokabi met Peter Karanja at a city restaurant, he was in the company of another man who has also been linked to the murder.
CCTV footage retrieved by detectives from the restaurant shows the 3 holed up in a meeting inside the restaurant at around noon, the day Cohen was killed.
In the CCTV footage, Kamotho’s daughter is seen paying the bill after they were done with the lunch time meeting.
The two men had previously met Sarah Wairimu, the alleged master planner of the murder at around 10AM in a popular restaurant in Westlands for a breakfast meeting before they went to meet Kamotho’s daughter.
CCTV captured Sarah Wairimu paying the bill and leaving in a hurry.
At about 2.30PM, shortly after meeting Nyokabi Kamotho, Karanja called Sarah Wairimu and he was captured by road cameras driving along Waiyaki Way.
That morning of July 19th when the Dutch tycoon was reported missing, he had gone to Parklands Police Station to follow up on a case where he had accused his wife of assault.
