Monday September 2, 2019-Deputy President has in the recent weeks been taking on headlines by different publications that have been signaling a rift in his relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On Monday, Ruto took to his Twitter to set the record straight over an article by The Standard titled, "Uhuru in New Airport Drama Over Ruto Ally."
The DP noted that the article had political undertones attached to it with an agenda against the cordial relationship of the executive duo.
"Kenyans can see through Standard Media's desperate gutter journalism lies of drama.”
"Jubilee is built on rock-solid philosophy and beliefs that no amount of scheming and propaganda can undermine,” stated Ruto.
In their article, The Standard disclosed that President Uhuru Kenyatta reportedly caused a scuffle over photos that had been taken of him and one of his Deputy William Ruto's ally.
According to the publication, the President is said to have sent one of his guards to order a number of official photographers to delete some photos of his reception at the airport upon arrival from Japan.
