Monday September 23, 2019-A court on Monday morning allowed the widow of slain Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen, Sarah Wairimu, to attend his burial.
The ruling came after Wairimu, who is a prime suspect in the case, filed an application over the matter.
Wairimu will join other members of the family during the final sendoff of the deceased at the Jewish cemetery on the Wangari Mathai Road, Nairobi.
Earlier on, High Court Deputy Registrar Jane Kamau had declined to issue the orders on the attendance of Wairimu.
The court requested her to remain patient until the case is heard.
“I do not have jurisdiction to issue such orders, but the parties should wait for me to consult the criminal High Court duty judge,” said Ms Kamau.
Wairimu had earlier on objected the release of the body of the deceased to the family of the tycoon before she made an about-turn on the same.
Cohen's body was found inside a septic tank 40 days after he went missing.
