Big win for Punguza Mzigo as University students endorse it – It will reduce the wage bill and deal ruthlessly with corrupt Government officials, the youth support it

Friday September 13, 2019 - Moi University students endorsed Third Way Alliance’s Punguza Mzigo Initiative on Friday.

They say the bill will reduce the wage bill and will bring funds to the grassroots.

Speaking outside Uasin Gishu County on Friday after holding a demonstration in Eldoret Town, the students led by the Law Students Society of Kenya Moi University Annex chapter President, John Mueke, said the bill must be supported by all Kenyans because it will deal with problems of the high wage bill and corruption.

“As law students, we are in support of the Punguza Mizigo Initiative fully since it will reduce the burden Kenyans are facing and anyone against it is against the interest of common mwananchi who supports it fully,” Mueke said.

Mueke also warned MCAs across the country against being used by some self-centred politicians to shoot down the bill saying their mandate is to represent the views of the electorate and not anyone else.
