Wednesday September 25,2019-Employment and Labour Relations Court has barred Kiambu Deputy Governor, Dr James Nyoro, from appointing or reshuffling members of the county's executive committee.
This is after a petitioner identified Marion Njoroge moved to court protesting Nyoro's move to shift a section of county executives
Last month Nyoro conducted a mini Cabinet reshuffle where he moved Finance CEC, Mr Kigo Njenga to Roads and replaced him with Mr Wilson Mburu Kangethe.
However according to the petitioner, the move violates article 179 (5) by exercising powers only limited to the governor.
In a ruling delivered by Justice Onesmus Makau ,Nyoro was ordered not to perform any reshuffle until the matter is heard and determined.
Nyoro became acting Kiambu Governor in July after Governor Ferdinand Waititu was arrested and charged in court over embezzlement of Sh 585 million.
After he was released on a Sh 15 million cash bail, Waititu was barred from accessing his offices until the case is heard and determined.
