Monday September 23, 2019 - British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has hired a Kenyan pastor, Godfrey Migwi, as the Religion and Political Analyst in Africa.
Announcing the good news on Monday, Migwi, who is a Kayole based cleric, said he will continue airing his views about religion and politics without fear or favour.
"Live on location from BBC studios, Watchman who never sleep or fear when it comes to speaking for the voicelessWatchman on duty and no turning back#Breakingbarriers#
ReachingMany#sautiYaWanyonge," Migwi said.
Migwi’s appointment at BBC comes after he was fired from the Mediamax Ltd a few months ago.
He was a presenter at Kameme Radio until June 26th, 2019, when he hosted his last show.
The media house, which is co-owned by President Uhuru Kenyatta, fired Pastor Migwi over his support for Deputy President William Ruto.
Mr Migwi had publicly declared his support for Ruto and even mobilized Central Kenya to support him.
Migwi also became an enemy of the State when he questioned President Uhuru Kenyatta’s development record in Central Kenya.
