Thursday September 12, 2019 - Sarah Wairimu Kamotho, the wife of missing Dutch tycoon, Tob Cohen, has told a Nairobi court that a senior investigator attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has been molesting her while on detention at Muthaiga Police Station.
On August 29th, a Nairobi court detained Sarah for two weeks to give police ample time to investigate the disappearance of her husband.
But appearing before a Judge on Thursday, Sarah through her lawyer Phillip Murgor protested her continued detention saying DCI officers have been sexually molesting her.
However, State lawyer, Catherine Mwaniki, strongly dismissed these claims and said police officers have been treating her like a wife and a mother.
The court ordered that Sarah be transferred to Lang’ata Women’s Prison before the case is mentioned on Monday.
Meanwhile, DCI detectives have said that they have a lot of evidence to link Sarah to the murder of her husband.
“We have a lot of evidence to link this woman to the murder of her husband Tob Cohen,” one detective told a local TV journalist.
