Saturday August 31, 2019-Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General, Wilson Sossion, has finally been sacked as the boss of the giant’s teachers union.
In a notice issued by Registrar of Trade Unions on Friday, the union said it has sacked Sossion as a representative of KNUT.
“I wish to inform you that I have registered the Notice of Change of Officers covering the appointment made on August 29, 2019.” part of the notice read.
However, Sossion’s lawyers warned the registrar to withdraw the notice or face a lawsuit.
A letter from J. A. Guserwa & Company Advocates warned that the Registrar would be cited for contempt as the meeting that announced the change was allegedly stopped.
KNUT Chairman Wycliffe Omucheyi however maintained that Sossion’s suspension still stands and Hesbon Otieno Agola remains the union’s acting Secretary General.
