Tuesday August 27, 2019-Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, has said two cabinet Secretaries will be arrested next week over Sh 11 billion Itare dam scandal.

Speaking in Naivasha on Monday, Haji said he has even travelled to Dubai to trace how the money was looted and he has enough evidence to send the two Cabinet Secretaries to jail.

Haji also said that his office is doing its best to assist the Judiciary in clearing the backlog by providing evidence where necessary in connection with the cases they present to court.

Haji’s revelation comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday declared that he will not tolerate corruption in his administration.

“The culture of unbridled corruption will end, I will continue pursuing the corrupt."

"I have been telling them that I am not seeking votes anymore, they have to return public money."

"I don’t have a friend when it comes to fighting corruption."

"My friends are the people of Kenya,” Uhuru said.
