See the number of cancer cases that were detected after 161 Nairobians were screened at Mama Lucy Hospital by SONKO’s Govt! This is SHOCKING!

Thursday August 8, 2019 - Nairobi County Governor, Mike Sonko, has said his Government will offer free cancer treatment to all Nairobians who will be diagnosed with cancer in the ongoing free cancer screening exercise in Mbagathi and Mama Lucy Hospitals.

Speaking on Thursday when he revealed findings after a free cancer screening exercise at the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, Sonko said his Government will treat all cancer patients for free.

He also revealed that out of 161 people who were screened for cancer at Mama Lucy Hospital, 8 have signs of cancer.

87.5% of the 8 individuals were suspected to have prostate cancer while 12.5% of the affected individuals were suspected to have breast cancer.

The doctors, however, noted that further tests needed to be done on the eight affected individuals to confirm their suspicions.

The doctors are screening for prostate, breast and cervical cancers.
