Friday, August 09, 2019 - Joe Mwangi, the heartless guy accused of exploiting talented teen gymnast, Wendy Waeni, is in hot soup after Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior agreed to take up her case pro bono.

The 14-year old gymnast narrated how her former manager, Joe Mwangi, swindled her by pocketing money from her performances.

She revealed that despite entertaining several Presidents and performing across the world, she has nothing to show for her talent and she’s still living in a single room with her mother in Hururma.

Her heartbreaking story saw Kenyans call for the arrest and prosecution of Mr. Mwangi and Senator Mutula has agreed to offer her legal services.

Taking to twitter, Junior, who is a lawyer by profession, shared a picture with Waeni at his office when she was at the beginning of her career.

The Senator said that the picture was taken by Mr Mwangi who was Waeni’s manager at the time.

“This picture was taken by Joe Mwangi in my office. The statement by Wendy on JKL yesterday is a criminal complaint,” tweeted Mr Mutula Kilonzo Jnr.

The photo caught the attention of Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja who requested Junior to take up her case and he agreed.

“Bro…Represent her. Will provide my side of the story as well,” replied Mr Sakaja.
