Wednesday August 28, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto has dismissed claims that there is a rift between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Ruto said that Uhuru remains the commander in chief of the armed forces and head of the Jubilee Party.
The DP was responding to a headline on one of the local dailies alleging that he is not in good terms with the Uhuru, who is completing his second and final term in office in 2022.
"JUBILEE is under one leader Uhuru Kenyatta. The 'wars' are a figment of the fertile evil imaginations of the now notoriously desperate standard media's warped & venomous logic," Ruto stated.
The DP also said Jubilee Government has shown its commitment to change the lives of Kenyans before Uhuru paves way for him to succeed his presidency.
He concluded by asking leaders to set politics aside and concentrate on development projects for the benefit of common mwananchi.
