Tuesday August 27, 2019-Third Way Alliance party leader, Dr Ekuru Aukot, has castigated former Gem MP, Jakoyo Midiwo, for dismissing Punguza Mizigo Bill 2019.
In an interview with NTV on Tuesday, Midiwo said the Bill was 'going nowhere' and asked Aukot to abandon the initiative as recently advised by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga.
“I told Ekuru Aukot that this thing you are peddling is shallow, Raila has reached out to you, take the olive branch," Midiwo said.
Reacting to Midiwo's sentiments Aukot said he was not Raila's 'slave' and told off the former legislator for rubbishing a Bill 'whose contents he does not understand'.
"Unbelievable! In his drunken stupor, this fellow, Jakoyo Midiwo, couldn't even pronounce Punguza Mizigo Bill 2019 leave alone understanding the contents of it. Unlike Midiwo, Ekuru Aukot is not a slave of Raila Odinga. Cheap talk in cheap shows!" Aukot tweeted.
