Wednesday August 14, 2019 - Thirdway Alliance party Secretary-General, Fredrick Okango, has sensationally accused National Assembly Majority Leader, Aden Duale, of insincerity with regard to his support for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) push.

This is after Duale openly declared his support for the BBI during an interview on Citizen TV yesterday.

He based his stand on the fact that President Uhuru Kenyatta is part of the arrangement after his 2018 truce with ODM boss, Raila Odinga, which he said bounds all Jubilee Party members to follow suit.

However, Okango now claims that Duale does not support the ideologies of the initiative but is solely backing it for personal gains.

He claims that he has been promised a regional position once the BBI referendum push goes through.

He claims that the plot by Duale and others is to include additional positions in government, which goes against the Thirdway Alliance’s Punguza Mizigo amendment bid which seeks to reduce elective slots for a lighter tax burden.

In a tweet on Tuesday night, Okango said most Kenyans, including Duale's people, are for Punguza Mizigo and not additional positions.

"It's sad that @HonAdenDuale now supports ONGEZA Mizigo referendum just because he has been promised a regional position in that MIZIGO. His people like many Kenyans are with #PunguzaMizigoBill2019," he tweeted.
