Friday August 2, 2019 - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has vowed to fight tooth and nail to ensure that the late Kibra MP, Ken Okoth's will is honoured.
Speaking on Thursday, Raila assured Ken Okoth's family that he will work with them to see to it that his burial wishes are respected.
He further hoped that the warring parts of the late lawmaker's family would agree on his final send-off.
"Nina hakika ya kwamba tutaweza kumpeleka Ken alale vizuri vile yeye mwenyewe alikua akitaka”
“(I have faith that we will be able to move Ken's remains and give him a good send-off as he had wished)," Raila said.
He further divulged that Okoth's family will work as a team including those at home.
This comes just hours after Nominated Nairobi MCA, Anne Nthumbi, obtained a court order barring Okoth's mother, Angelina Okoth, and his wife, Monica Okoth, from proceeding with their burial plans.
The former PM eulogized Ken Okoth as a great man who had endlessly served his constituents even when he was in pain.
