Monday August 5, 2019 - Former Kiambu County Governor, William Kabogo, has asked all Governors charged with corruption to step aside and allow their cases to be concluded.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Monday, Kabogo, said it is unfortunate that no Kenyan leaders step aside even when asked to do so because of corruption.
The former flamboyant Governor noted that the war against graft is as good as dead if the officers remain in office.
“Nobody resigns in this country.”
“How can you face charges of stealing from the County and yet you sit in the county?”
“How do you preside over the executive authority of a County and yet you are a suspect in a court of law?” Kabogo asked.
Kabogo also advised the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, to go to court and seek orders to compel all State officers charged in court to step aside and allow their cases to be concluded.
