Thursday July 25, 2019 - President Uhuru Kenyatta has maintained that the ongoing corruption purge will continue until all State officers understand that stealing public money will land you in jail and ruin your family.

Speaking at a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Uhuru told all CSs that no one will be spared in the ongoing fight against graft.

Uhuru spoke a day after former Treasury Cabinet Secretary, Henry Rotich, was arrested over the misappropriation of Sh 19.5 billion meant for the construction of Arror and Kimwarer dams in Elgeyo Marakwet.

Rotich was arrested together with his Principal Secretary, Kamau Thugge, and 28 senior State officers.

Sources close to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) reveal that they are investigating two Cabinet Secretaries over massive corruption in their Ministries.

One of the CSs is Agriculture Cabinet Secretary, Mwangi Kiunjuri, who is said to have looted Sh 1.8 billion which was meant for payment of maize farmers.
