Tuesday July 23, 2019-State House Spokesperson, Kanze Dena, on Tuesday, responded to the arrest of among others, Treasury CS Henry Rotich and his PS, Kamau Thugge, over the Arror and Kimwarer dams’ scandal where an estimated Sh19 billion was looted by unscrupulous people.
Speaking on Hope FM, Kanze confirmed the arrest of Rotich and Thugge, noting that the President is fully behind the DPP and DCI in the fight against graft.
She noted that corruption is a cancer and must be fought by everyone and in all fronts.
"Corruption is a cancer that is eating away the Kenyan soul and we all agree that for us to succeed as a nation, we must unite in fighting it.
"That's why the President is leading the corruption war from the front," Kanze spoke.
She also reiterated her boss' commitment to growing Kenya in leaps and bounds.
"We will develop a better, prosperous country when we unite and work together as one people, as Kenyans.
"We won't be able to fully transform our nation overnight because it is a process, but with dedication and the right mindset, we will get there," the former news anchor emphasized.
