Thursday July 25, 2019 - Political analyst, Herman Manyora, has fiercely criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta for appointing Labour CS, Ukur Yatani, as acting Treasury CS.

The Labour CS swiftly moved in to replace troubled Henry Rotich, who has a case to answer in court over the Kimwarer and Arror dams’ scandal.

“Uhuru appointing Ukur Yatani is a bad joke.”

“Despite the fact that it is a serious docket in Government, he should have appointed an active minister by Fred Matiang’i because nobody expects Rotich to come back.”

“There should have been a better person because Ukur Yatani has awfully handled some critical issues within his Labour docket,” Manyora stated.

He went on to claim that Uhuru had lost a golden opportunity to revive the Treasury and his Cabinet as a whole.

“It will take ages to change that docket.”

“He should have nominated a CS immediately and let the Parliament vet his nominee.”

“He knew a long time ago that Rotich was going down.”

“Every Kenyan is wondering if the President is in charge.”

“These arraignments in court had given the President a chance to organise his Cabinet and offer Kenyans hope.”

“An opportunity to ask CSs accused of corruption to resign,” Manyora lamented.

Manyora further accused the President of overworking Interior CS, Fred Matiang’i.

"Other than Matiangi, who else is working in that Cabinet. He will be overworked," Manyora cried.
