Thursday July 18, 2019-Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu, is no stranger to controversy and often appears in the headlines for various antics, be it on county drama or matters touching on national politics.
However, for the last couple of days, the vocal politician has taken a back seat making an effort not to make headlines for the wrong reasons.
minated MCA in Kibiko, Kajiado County, on Tuesday, Waititu, explained that it was his intention to stay away from TV.
"Siku mingi sikuonekana kwa TV kwa sababu nilijificha. Niliambiwa nimeongea sana and mpaka watu wakaanzisha njama, propoganda (For the last few days, I've been silent because I've been hiding from TV. I've been told I speak a lot until some people make plans against me and put my name in scandals)," he stated.
His explanation elicited laughter from the crowd that had gathered.
Lamenting on corruption allegation plaguing his family, Waititu told the audience, in which DP William Ruto was part of, not to spread rumours.
"Watch out what you do to others, because history comes around. Don't go around spreading propaganda about your colleagues because the individual has a family and you don't know what will happen in the future," he proclaimed.
