Tuesday July 2, 2019 - The war of words between Deputy President William Ruto and Opposition leader, Raila Odinga, continues to escalate with the two sides firing salvos at each other.
In an apparent response to DP Ruto, Raila's Spokesman, Dennis Onyango, now wants him to be subjected to rehabilitation to manage his anger.
On his social media account, Onyango said there is need for 'some leaders to take anger management before 2022 polls'.
His statement came shortly after Ruto accused Raila of sabotaging development.
"In the run up to 2022, some leaders will need to begin anger management classes or be checked into rehabs.”
“The signs are not pleasant already even though elections three years away," Onyango wrote.
Speaking in Nyamira on Monday, a furious Ruto termed Raila as the 'Lord of poverty' adding that he was keen to dismantle him ahead of 2022 polls.
“He (Raila) has been alleging corruption in Eurobond, dams, SGR and the Northern Collector Tunnel Water Project. They want you to continue being poor so that they can continue oppressing you.”
“I’m asking, what kind of a leader are you, visionless and planless? You oppose everything because you are the lord of poverty. Someone who opposes development, is he leading people who are alive or dead? He can only lead cows or goats,” he said.
