State House blogger, DENNIS ITUMBI, arrested over links to a fake letter about RUTO’s assassination – Did UHURU personally order his arrest? LOOK

Wednesday July 3, 2019 - Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have today arrested State House blogger, Dennis Itumbi, over links to the fake assassination letter against Deputy President William Ruto.

Itumbi and Ruto’s Communications Director, Emmanuel Talam, are said to be the authors of the fake letter which stated that four Cabinet Secretaries from Mt Kenya region were planning to assassinate the DP.

Last week, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, sought the services of America’s Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to zero in on the source of the letter that had split the Cabinet into two following the assassination claim.

Two days later, FBI officers named Itumbi and Talam as the authors of the fake letter.

Itumbi denied his involvement but on Wednesday, Flying Squad officers caught up with him at City Hall and took him to DCI headquarters for further questioning.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is said to have ordered the arrest of Itumbi and Talam for trying to divide the Cabinet and Kenyans in general.

Talam is yet to be arrested.
