Tuesday July 16, 2019-Controversial Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Monday lauded Opposition leader Raila Odinga's speech on National Export Strategy Expo.
Raila was among chief guest in the expo where Kenya's export strategy was discussed along with Deputy President William Ruto, his sworn political enemy.
On his Twitter account, Kuria termed Odinga's speech as all the three greatest, and went ahead to request a copy from media houses that had captured it.
"Any media house who captured Raila Odinga today's speech during the Kenya Trade Week on how Africa's interconnected infrastructure will support Africa Continental Free Trade Area? Please share here. Greatest speech of all times," he tweeted.
The African Union High Representative for Infrastructural Development emphasised on the need to revolutionalise infrastructural in Africa, arguing that it will promote internal trade.
Raila also poked holes into the energy sector, saying that time had come for the state to regulate the cost, which he insisted that was unfavorable to investors.
“To do value addition you need a lot of power. Energy costs currently are too high. When the cost stands at 16 cents per unit, you cannot compete effectively internationally. You cannot compete with someone who pays 3 cents for power,” said Raila.
“You’ve got here an animal called the energy and petroleum regulatory authority. I don’t know what it is supposed to regulate. It is actually hampering energy generation in this country,” he added.
