RAILA disappoints Kenyans again! See what he said in Elgeyo Marakwet that has left many disappointed in him?

Monday July 1, 2019-Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga on Sunday revisited his Canaan campaign slogan, arguing that the dream has been realised.

During 2017 presidential campaigns, Raila often told his supporters that he would deliver them to the Promised Land— Canaan.

At Elgeyo-Marakwet County on Sunday, the ODM leader said his truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta had realised peace and stability, adding that the development reflects Canaan he talked about.

“Canaan is for Kenyans to enjoy peace and have 'justice within our borders' as our national anthem spells out. That's why I teamed up with President Kenyatta to unite the country,” he said.

Raila was attending the retirement party of Mrs. Ruth Kiptoo, the mother-in-law to Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny, a proponent of the Handshake.

Governor Alex Tolgos, who has been leaning towards the Kieleweke team, said any leader was welcome to Elgeyo Marakwet.

"We are firmly in support of the handshake. You are welcome any time to this county, Mr. Odinga. Don't stay away for too long," he said.

While the truce between Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta has received backing from some quarters, Deputy President William Ruto has accused Raila of using handshake to undermine him.
