Thursday July 25, 2019- President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, were among mourners who attended the burial of Peter Kenneth’s mother, Rahab Wambui Muhuni in Gatanga, Muranga County on Thursday.

Uhuru and Raila and other leaders including deputy President William Ruto attended the highly publicised burial of former Gatanga MP mother‘s burial.

However when Ruto rose to speak he was met with thunderous welcome by his supporters leaving Uhuru and his “bodyguard” Raila Odinga in shock.

During his speech, Ruto eulogised Rahab as a matriarch of Muhuni’s family and also a gem for Muranga county and Kenya.

When he rose to speak, Uhuru described Rahab as a true Kenyan who sacrificed everything to see that her children are well educated like Peter Kenneth and his siblings.

Ms Muhuni, 86, died last week at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi where she has been receiving treatment since December last year.
