Monday July 15, 2019-Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has taken a swipe at Deputy President William Ruto following his attack on Jubilee Party's Secretary General, Raphael Tuju, for working with Opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Venting on social media yesterday, Kuria defended Tuju, who doubles as a Cabinet secretary without portfolio, saying he is only a messenger and therefore the attacks directed at him should be channeled to the right person.
According to Kuria, the so-called Jubilee Party died with the arrival of the famous March 2018 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
"Dear my good friend Deputy President William Ruto. Jubilee went into political bankruptcy on March 9, 2018. The nature and configuration of Kenya's politics forced us into Article 11 Bankruptcy. Raphael Tuju is only a Receiver-Manager. Don't attack the messenger please," Kuria stated.
Ruto had a few hours earlier expressed dismay over reports that Tuju had joined Raila's political camp as one of the Opposition leader's key strategists on development matters in Nyanza region.
The move by the former Rarieda MP is said to have infuriated the DP and his political allies who were already pushing for his resignation.
