Tuesday, 02 July 2019 - Safaricom’ board has appointed Michael Joseph as the interim CEO following the demise of Bob Collymore.

Mr Joseph was a former Chief Executive Officer of the giant telco and retired in November 2010.

He will hold the position until the board finds a permanent appointment.

“Mr Joseph will hold the position until the board communicates in due course, on a permanent appointment. The Board is confident that during this transition, Mr Joseph will provide the necessary guidance and leadership to the company and its employees,” said Ms Kathryne Maundu, the company’s Secretary.

They include:

1. Interim CEO of Safaricom Kenya.

2. Chairman of Kenya Airways Board of Directors.

3. Chancellor of Maseno University.

4. Chairman of Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.

5. Executive Board Member of BoD at Safaricom Kenya.
