I wish I saved more - JIMMY GATHU speaks on his regrets after he lost his job and nearly reduced to a pauper

Thursday, July 5, 2019 - Seasoned media personality, Jimmy Gathu, has opened up on the struggles he went through after losing his job.

Jimmy Gathu has been in employment since he was 25 and for the decades he has worked in the media, he has never been fired.

In fact, media stations were always poaching him and giving him better perks.

But in 2016, he was fired from Nation Media Group after the station embarked on massive retrenchment.

He tried to look for a job after he was fired from Nation Media Group without success.
Gathu claims that it reached a point when he was ready to take any job.

But his wife, Cathy, encouraged him to keep on hoping for the best instead of allowing to be exploited just because he was jobless.

The seasoned radio presenter and TV host claims that his biggest regret so far is failing to save money when he had a lucrative job.

“When I got a management position with some very good perks, I would have saved more and consciously build my brand from that position of power,” he said.

He has announced that he will soon come back on air after signing a deal with a local media station.
