Tuesday July 16, 2019-A plane carrying the Building Bridges Initiative Taskforce members, on Tuesday, was forced to divert to Lamu due to a landing problem.

The pilot of the plane, which was traveling to Tana River County, was not able to land at Hola Airstrip.

This was attributed to the fact that the airstrip was full of water and unfit for landing.

The taskforce was set to visit Kwale, Kilifi, Taita-Taveta, Lamu, and later Trans Nzoia, Bungoma and West Pokot in a bid to collect views from the public on the constitutional review.

On Monday, the BBI Chairman, Yusuf Haji, announced that the initiative was yet to compile its report regarding the referendum.

He added that the team was still collecting views from the public and had not yet arrived on any decision.

“The remaining counties are slated to present their views within the next three weeks beginning Tuesday," Yusuf divulged.

He further divulged that the team's decision would solely be based on ordinary Kenyans' opinions and not politicians.
