Tuesday July 23, 2019-ODM Chairman, John Mbadi, on Monday, renewed his battle with Deputy President William Ruto shortly after Treasury CS, Henry Rotich, got arrested.
According to reports, Mbadi called on the DP, together with Senate's Majority Leader, Kipchumba Murkomen, to vacate their respective offices.
He argued that the two had been linked to the ongoing Arror and Kimwarer crackdowns especially after they publicly stated that there was no impropriety in the matter.
“DP Ruto and his henchmen, including Murkomen, came out to publicly state that there was no impropriety in the matter.
"The indictment by the Director of Public Prosecutions is, by extension, also an indictment of the DP and the senator. They should apologise for misleading Kenyans,” asserted Mbadi.
His sentiments were echoed by Cherengany MP, Joshua Kutuny, who reminded Ruto and Murkomen to desist defending corruption.
“The indictments are a wake-up call to those who are quick to defend corruption. When the matter was being investigated, they cast aspersions on the DPP and DCI but evidence has exposed them.”
“They should not mislead people (by saying) a community is being targeted. This is a war against the corrupt,” stated Kutuny.
