Details of the Sh 460, 000 limited Whiskey BOB COLLYMORE had reserved for UHURU (LOOK)

Saturday, July 06, 2019- Speaking during Bob Collymore’s memorial service on Thursday at the All Saints Cathedral, President Uhuru put the now famous ‘Boys Club’ on the spot for drinking a bottle of whiskey that was reserved for him.

It all started when former presidential candidate, Peter Kenneth –one of the boys in the club- confessed that the late Safaricom CEO offered them a special bottle of whisky that he had reserved for a special friend.

“He (Collymore) eventually went into his whisky store and opened a very special reserve blended whisky that he had saved many years for a special guest. He insisted we become the special guests and he insisted that we all share the whisky even for those who do not drink whisky,” said Kenneth.

When it was his turn to speak, Uhuru revealed that he was the special guest and told Kenneth and his crew to pay.

“My one disappointment I was supposed to have gone back to collect something that had been reserved for a special friend, so Peter Kenneth, (Kenya Commercial Bank CEO Joshua) Oigara and crew you have to pay. That did not belong to you,” said Mr Kenyatta sending the church into laughter.

Well, we can reveal that the special bottle of whiskey was a Johnie Walker Directors Blend with 46 per cent alcohol volume.

The limited whiskey is packaged in 700 ml bottle and retails at a staggering sh 460,000.
According to the Directors blend whiskey marker website, Diageo, the whiskey edition was released in 2010 and was exclusively for Diageo directors.

The special drink is bottled with six different labels, and pairs are printed the same.

Uhuru’s whiskey bottle was labeled number 138.

The ‘boys club’ is made up of businessman Ally Khan Satchu, Radio Africa Group CEO Patrick Quarcoo, politician Peter Kenneth, Citizen TV News Anchor Jeff Koinange, Scangroup CEO Bharat Thakrar, British High Commissioner Nic Hailey and Kenya Commercial Bank CEO Joshua Oigara.
