Defiant blogger ROBERT ALAI vows never to be intimidated by UHURU’s men - See exactly what he said after he was released for supporting AL SHABAAB

Wednesday July 3, 2019 - Renowned blogger, Robert Alai, has insisted that he will continue championing for the rights of police officers without fear or favour.

In a post on Tuesday, hours after being released from prison, Alai stated that police officers must be respected whether dead or alive.

“We won’t beg and we won’t hide.”

“Our men and women in uniform will have to be treated with dignity whether dead or ALIVE.”

“Demanding this is not demanding too much but just showing that we are human and we appreciate them. Let’s TERRORIZE the oppressors,” Alai said.

Alai was arrested on June 18th for allegedly circulating pictures of police officers who were killed in an IED attack in Wajir, which the police termed as an act of supporting terrorism in the country.

Appearing before Milimani Chief Magistrate, Francis Andayi, on Tuesday, the blogger was charged with supporting Somali-based militia, Al Shabaab, and disclosure of information against the law.

He denied the two charges and was released on a cash bail of Sh300, 000 or Sh500, 000 bond after staying in police custody for 14 days.

His case will be heard on August 8th.
