Friday July 19, 2019-Makueni MP Dan Maanzo has defended Jubilee party's Secretary General, Raphael Tuju, who has been at loggerheads with Deputy President William Ruto and his political allies for working closely with ODM leader Raila Odinga in the name of the handshake.
This is after Tuju was allegedly recruited by Raila as adviser ahead of 2022 polls; something that has not gone down well with Ruto who has rubbished Tuju for his decision to work with the ODM leader.
Speaking yesterday, Maanzo heaped praises on Tuju, saying he has remained consistent and has proved that he cannot be swayed by the noise from the DP.
"I admire Tuju as being a true nationalist.”
“He has remained consistent even when politics has swayed Kenya in one way or another.”
“He has been very useful in advising the President in many things including on the handshake," he said.
