Monday, July 15, 2019- Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso is back in the country after spending several weeks in London and India seeking treatment for undisclosed ailment.

Dr. Laboso arrived in Nairobi on Sunday morning and was received by her deputy governor, Hillary Barchok.

While Laboso’s ailment remains a closely guarded secret, the deputy governor urged Kenyans to pray for her stating that she’s not out of the woods yet.

The governor arrived in the country this morning, and would be continuing with treatment. She needs our prayers and support," said Barchok.

She added: "The state of her health is strictly a family affair we cannot purport to speak for them. She should be given the support she needs and we should not intrude into their privacy,"

Laboso will continue receiving treatment at home since she has not been cleared to resume her duties.

Dr. Laboso left the country on May 29, 2019 for the UK to seek specialized treatment for undisclosed ailment.

She was later transferred to India for further treatment.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Chief Justice David Maraga and Kenya’s High Commissioner to the UK Manoah Esipisu, are among prominent Kenyans who visited her in hospital.
