Friday, July 19, 2019- Celebrated Kenyan business mogul and philanthropist, Dr. Manu Chandaria, on Friday held a simple wedding ceremony at the Office of the Attorney General in Nairobi.

The billionaire industrialist, who is 90, has been married to Aruna, aged 85, for the past 64 years after marrying in a customary Hindu marriage.

Taking to social media, Chandaria shared a photo kissing his bride and despite their wealth, the ceremony was devoid of pomp and color.

They actually  spent less than Sh10,000 to formalise their marriage of 64-years.

All couples married under the customary marriage are required to register their marriages at the AG’s office at Sheria House, upon which a marriage certificate will be issued.

This should be a lesson to the struggling Kenyan youth who go to the extent of taking loans to fund a lavish wedding ceremony only for the marriage to crash  just before taking off in earnest.
