Monday, July 22, 2019- Early this month, President Uhuru put the now famous ‘Boys Club’ on the spot for drinking a bottle of whiskey that was reserved for him by the late Safaricom CEO, Bob Collymore.

Peter Kenneth –one of the boys in the club- confessed that the late Safaricom CEO offered them a special bottle of whisky that he had reserved for a special friend.

“He (Collymore) eventually went into his whisky store and opened a very special reserve blended whisky that he had saved many years for a special guest. He insisted we become the special guests and he insisted that we all share the whisky even for those who do not drink whisky,” said Kenneth.

When it was his turn to speak, Uhuru revealed that he was the special guest and told Kenneth and his crew to pay.

The ‘boys club’ is made up of businessman Ally Khan Satchu, Radio Africa Group CEO Patrick Quarcoo, politician Peter Kenneth, Jeff Koinange, Scangroup CEO Bharat Thakrar, and Kenya Commercial Bank CEO Joshua Oigara.

Well, the boys have finally secured the rare bottle of whiskey as confirmed by Peter Kenneth.

Speaking on Sunday at his mother’s memorial service at his home in Loresho, Peter Kenneth said the boys had found the whiskey after a global search.

“A member of the club called it “an unbelievable stroke of luck to find it, but suffice to say, Bob Collymore may have helped from high up!” .

The whiskey in question is a Johnnie Walker Directors Blend edition, released in 2010 and was exclusively for Diageo directors.
