Monday June 17, 2019 - Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has suffered a severe blow after six senior County officials resigned over the weekend.
The County Chief Finance and Planning officer, Faith Njeri Harrison, and five others made the decision a day after she was demoted to the trade and cooperatives docket.
According to reports, Faith resigned due to a fallout over the payment of suppliers in the County.
Among other Chief Officers who also left was John Muhia, who was replaced after he was sent on compulsory leave.
Dr Andrew Toro and Jane Nyokabi of the department of health and the department of public works respectively also called it a day.
This came at a time when the Kiambu Governor had reshuffled his Cabinet amid investigations by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) over alleged corruption in the County.
The officials also accused Governor Waititu of sending top officials on compulsory leave before replacing them.
