Thursday June 20, 2019 - President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to visit Uasin Gishu County, the home County of Deputy William Ruto, to preside over the re-launch of Rivatex, a textile factory that collapsed after two decades of neglect.

Ruto is expected to accompany his boss but State House is uncomfortable with the list of politicians who will be allowed to speak at the event.

Uhuru’s handlers are particularly disturbed by one Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, who has been lined up as one of the speakers of the day, considering that he is one of the fiercest critics of Uhuru and his peace pact with ODM Leader, Raila Odinga.

“President Kenyatta’s handlers were uncomfortable with MP Oscar Sudi speaking at the event and preferred the speeches be limited to the Uasin Gishu Senator, Governor and DP Ruto before President Kenyatta makes his speech,” revealed the source.
