Friday June 21, 2019 - A vocal Jubilee MP has told President Uhuru Kenyatta to tame his tongue and stop insulting leaders who helped him win the 2013 and 2017 presidential elections.

In an article published by a major daily on Friday, Belgut MP, Nelson Koech, said nobody owns Jubilee Party because it was formed by all Kenyans who believed in the development record of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto.

The MP said Jubilee lawmakers should not be frustrated by some MPs and leaders who think they are more Jubilee than others.

“Let me point out that the men and women at the helm of the 12th parliament's committees are not serving at the behest of any individual.”

“They are working for the party that we all campaigned and built to what it is currently,” Koech wrote.

“Let me also tell them that no member of Jubilee party is a guest, we all earned those positions courtesy of the work we put in for the party and the work we continue to do for the party,” Koech added.

Koech’s article comes at a time there are rumors that the Executive, under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta, wants MPs associated with Ruto to be removed from plum committees in Parliament.
