Shock as SONKO pulls a first one on his own staff and catches them red handed stealing-See how much they were planning to steal from us?

Friday June 7, 2019-Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko cancelled a luxurious car deal worth Ksh400 million where his staff were set to receive high-end vehicles.

Speaking during the 46th World Environment Day at the Railway Training Institute in South B, Sonko explained that the money would best impact Nairobians if used to acquire ambulances.

He further revealed that part of the remaining money would be used in the construction of roads and regeneration of Nairobi River.

“City Hall has enough vehicles to serve county officials for the next financial year. There is no need to allocate millions of funds to purchase brand new vehicles yet we can reallocate vehicles to our departments to ensure we continue serving Nairobians without hitch,” explained the flamboyant Governor.
The money was contained in the 2019/2020 financial year.

At the same time, Sonko also ordered for the commencement of legal process against county officials who were involved in the embezzlement of bursary funds in the 2018/2019 financial year.

“I want all county officials who were part of the team that conspired to divert Ksh60 million meant for the bursary funds to face the law.”

"I have directed County Secretary Pauline Kahiga and County Attorney Christine Ireri to start the legal process to ensure those involved in the scandal are prosecuted,” he stated.
