SHOCK as RUTO and his MPs vow to defy UHURU after Sunday’s rant! Form another outfit to campaign for the DP countrywide - Gloves are off folks!

Wednesday June 19, 2019 - Members of the Jubilee Party allied to Deputy President William Ruto have come up with a new women’s league, apparently in a bid to counter the Embrace Women Group that supports President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and their handshake.

Plans to assemble the group dubbed Inua Mama came to light only a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta lashed out at the group operating under the Tanga Tanga tag for disrespecting him.

The chief organizer of the group is Kandara MP, Alice Wahome, who has not been in good terms with Uhuru since Sunday’s rant and who named some of Inua Mama's leaders on Tuesday.

She said that the group has 48 elected members, and will be chaired by her and Nakuru Senator, Susan Kihika, with Malindi MP, Aisha Jumwa, set to be in the technical committee.

She noted that the group will be going across the country engaging in fundraisers and empowering women, while at the same time promoting members in their respective areas.

Wahome said that the group will also be using its cross country engagements to endorse Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

The lawmaker noted that they have no plans to work with Embrace which is led by former Nairobi Woman Representative, Rachael Shebesh, and Homa Bay MP, Gladys Wanga.
